The Big Think Compassion at Christmas

in partnership with

Feeding Britain

The Big Think is a social and emotional learning programme that uses human values to help children make sense of and manage the changing world around them.

We want all families to experience the value of Compassion this Christmas so we have teamed up with Feeding Britain to offer schools and families the chance to act with Compassion this Christmas.

The Big Think Compassion at Christmas

Currently, in a classroom of 30 children, up to 6 will be living in a family experiencing food scarcity. During COVID 19, there has been the biggest ever influx of working families approaching food banks as they are struggling to afford to buy food. Often these are families that have mortgages and jobs and have never needed to ask for help before.

We are asking parents, teachers and the school community to donate to Feeding Britain, and in return we will provide you with our specially designed Compassion at Christmas learning pack for primary schools.

The Big Think Compassion 4 Christmas learning pack  for classrooms and families contains:

Song - At Christmas
Story – Dear Belly
Silent Sitting Mindfulness Track - Reasons to be thankful
Lesson Plan, Lesson Screens, Journal page

Did you know that donating just £10 to Feeding Britain will provide 30 meals?

Suggested Donations

£10 – individual teacher or parent
£20 - small school
£30 – large school

Feeding Britain

Hunger has no place in 21st-century Britain. We are working with partners as diverse as food banks and local community food organisations, politicians and companies, to make sure it becomes a thing of the past.
