My first rhyming story, The Snatchabook (illustrated by Thomas Docherty), has been translated into 18 languages. In 2014 it won the Oldham Brilliant Book Award, voted for by school children. I live in Swansea, Wales, with my husband and our two daughters.

He has received various awards for his work exploring Afro-European identity, including a Decibel Penguin Prize and an ENAR (European Network Against Racism) award.
